Gaëlle Rondepierre, a PhD student of the SIMM, winner of the French Rising Talents L’Oréal-Unesco For Women In Science Award

Gaëlle Rondepierre, a 3rd year PhD student in the lab, is one of the 35 winners of the 2020 French Rising Talents L’Oreal-Unesco For Women In Science Award. This award, created in 1998, rewards the research work of PhD students and post-doctorates. During her PhD, Gaëlle studies the wetting of oil on a solid in water in the presence of surfactants. Thanks to this prize, she hopes to present her work to international experts at different conferences. Besides, Gaëlle wants to dedicate a part of the money to the organisation of a day on women in science in a high school in the Alpes-Maritimes.
